Understanding that you will be in your office, on average, for almost 20 years before you move or retire.  So, decide on the number of operatories you will need well into the future.  A daunting task, but here is a clue:  the average monthly debt service on a fully equipped operatory is about $700, but the average op will generate anywhere from from $10,000 to $35,000/month.  SO DON’T BE SHORT OPS!  IT IS A BAD BET.
